Today didn't suck at all. In fact, suckitude was strangely absent from today. I had a slight run-in with my manager. I told him we were $4.23 short right now, and he asked WHY!?!?! I started to explain, and he kept cutting me off. I couldn't take it, so I said, "May I finish? You tell me to let you finish, but you aren't waiting for me." He looked kinda pissed about that. All I can say is good. He needs to be brought down a peg or two.
Other than that, things went well. I had a list of things I needed to take care of today, and I made it through the list. Granted, I didn't get any of the CSM paperwork out of the way, but we have money (none got ordered over the weekend), I've sent in the returned WICs for validation, and I found out why one of our employees didn't get paid like he was supposed to.
After work, I went to Kevin's. We talked for a while about things. I get the distinct impression that his wedding is NOT going to be a formal affair. Obviously, with a Hallowe'en wedding, it can't be too formal, but I don't even think that he is worried that we all match. I suggested we agree on an outfit of some kind. If we don't match, it'll suck forever. Or something.
We ran back over here, grabbed Equilibrium, and showed him the Return of the King trailer.
OH MY!!! The Paradiso theatre is getting the special screenings of Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition and The Two Towers Extended Edition, as well as the marathon on December 16!!! Tickets go on sale on October 9. For those of my crew, you have two days to let me know you want to go to any of these (Fellowship, Two Towers, marathon, or any combination thereof), because I'm going to buy them now. I am *NOT* going to risk the event of a lifetime, just because I assume that "they won't sell that fast."
You would have to be pretty dang stupid to believe that.
Kevin liked Equilibrium, though I think Brandi (his fiancee) liked it more. I came home, and I'm now going to try to install the GeForce3 video card I got from my friend. Wish me luck. I hope this works. :) (Better video card cannot suck totally, can it? :) )
