I haven't had much happen this week. That's part of the reason I haven't updated for squat. Also, I just haven't had much interest in sitting down and typing out a post. *Shrug* I suppose it stems in part from my lack of notes for Sunday's game, and the worry that I'm going to forget too much of it before I can make a log for it. (I have had to E-mail the DM about them.)
There is one notable thing that happened today, though: My schedule got changed. That's right, folks, I'm no longer off on Mondays and Saturdays. I'm now off on Fridays and Saturdays. The guy who was opening on Mondays changed his availability, and since I technically will work anything, I had to shift to fill in the gap. Ironic, isn't it, that this is right before Labor Day?
Ahh, heck, I think he's taking fall classes at a local college. This has an impact on my gaming, though. I cannot play until 1130pm anymore. I now have to be at work sooner than anyone else at the table. I'll play late on that day anyway, but I can't do VERY late, ya know?
And, of course, Mondays become problematic. I work until 3pm, and then I have to go home, change, and get over to Brad's. I'm going to talk to Brad about swinging back over to Highland to get Alex when he gets Mike. (I'll still drop Alex off at home.) Of course, I don't know how late I can stay then, especially if we game late on Sunday.
I'm going to take this one step at a time, and hope that things work out. I will say right now that the only game that matters to me is Stephen's Stahl campaign. Mike and I have been cooking up ideas about a game to run on Mondays, but I'll drop that like a bad habit if complications with work arise. (Sorry guys, you understand - I hope.)
Other than that, I also wanna say that I got a Sky Atlas today, and I found the thing I want for Christmas/my birthday. It is Astronomy Today: 4th Edition. This book is DETAILED, and I could feel the knowledge oozing out of the pages. After wiping the knowledge that got on my hands onto my jeans, I put the book back, but only with significant reluctance. The part that made it easy was the $89 price tag. *sigh* I know what I am going to get next. I just have to save for it.
I also might pick up a book on Einstein's Theory of Relativity named, appropriately enough, Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Time will tell, and I'll harass y'all with the details when I do, rest assured. :)
For now, I have some space maps to look at, absorb, and utilize...
