I had a BUSY day. So very busy. I was late. I hustled, because I was supposed to run UScan until 11am. I managed to finish on time, but I got called out to check by my manager. Oh well, it's not my fault. I was alternately on UScan, in the back with the Customer Service Manager, and bagging for the *one* checker we had. I learned some major ca-ca went down Sunday. First, Thomas didn't show up, so the CSM had to work 2-11 instead of 10-7. Second, the night checker thought she was off, and never came in. As a result, my CSM worked from 1pm on Sunday afternoon until 6am Monday morning. To top it off, the morning checker on Monday called in sick too. Fortunately, Joyce (my CSM) left anyway. 17 hours is far longer than anyone should have to spend inside of Kroger. Trust me.
Anyway, I went to lunch, and spent my time reading the D&D3.5 Revised Player's Handbook. Let me tell you, they have REALLY improved things, at least with the races, classes, and skills (the chapters I've read so far). Knowledge skills are for more than just flavor now. Synergies abound. Class features are clear and balanced. Dwarves are no longer screwed when it comes to movement. (I always wondered why they were medium in size when their movement implied small. Now, they don't suffer movement penalties for being encumbered. Sounds good to me.)
I came home, and planned on cleaning my room, doing my laundry, balancing my checkbook, paying bills, and posting both about today and my game sessions from the last couple of days. I got my room cleaned, but I am exhausted. Yes, it was THAT messy. My desk was somewhere underneath old mail, receipts, empty cups, blank and burned CDs, software from my reinstallation, and books. The rest of my room wasn't much better. I think I'll balance my checkbook tomorrow when I get home. My laundry should just about be dry now.
I'll post about the last two Sundays, as well as yesterday's campaign-ending Star Wars game. (You'll see why when you read the post.)
For now, I'm going to zone.
