Well, at least it's the weekend...

I continued my perfect streak of being LATE to work yesterday morning. Fortunately, I was only six minutes late. I got done with my paperwork, and the rest of the day went okay.

I've learned that Mitchell Graham's The Fifth Ring is brilliant. The author used to fence competitively, and that shows in his sword fights. The story is good. too, and I'm only 100 pages in. I'll post more when I finish it. Which won't be today because...

..I'm going to get Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Oh my goodness, how I have waited for this book! I'm going to come home, and read it nonstop. This book will be done by tonight!! Or not, since it's like 800+ pages. Feh, who cares? :)

Last night, I played Diablo II with my brother, Alex, and Brad. Needless to say, that was a TON of FUN. That game was meant to be played multiplayer. We played without the expansion, since Brad doesn't have that. I played LotsOHurting, a barbarian. Brad played CFlash, a paladin. Aron played Caterin, an amazon of the bow persuasion. Alex played Aaahhh, a necromancer who was really fond of the Teeth skill. We played for 2-3 hours, and only stopped because I was falling asleep. (I quit, but everyone else decided to quit only five minutes after I did.)

Today, I'm going to clean my room, do what laundry I have, finish Aric's background, and read Order of the Phoenix. I'll be around my computer, but remember, I don't use sounds. There is no guarantee that I'll see the flashing icon.

Mid-day quickie..

I just finished Aric's background in raven_burrfoot, and it's ultimately 10 entries long. I could have made it one big post, but since I started out splitting it up, I felt this looked better. Another thing, though is that I took Stephen's 5 and a little piece page DOC, and turned it into 10 full pages of background. Everything after I joined the temple of Ilmater is my own invention.

I'm rather proud of this background. It is, without a doubt, the most ambitious backstory I have ever done. 4248 words in 64 paragraphs, contained in 10 pages. I may be bragging, but I am really proud of this one.

Now, i'm going to clean my room quickly, hang my laundry, and go get Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix. Yay! New Harry Potter adventures await!!! :)

Despair is..

...not being able to read OotP because your termite infestation swelled back up. I've called Orkin, but they cannot get anyone out here until Monday. I've taped off my cloest, since that's where they're coming from. It hurt, because I couldn't risk pulling anything out without causing even greater numbers to come out of the closet. So, a lot of my stuff is in there, and I'm really hurt because of it. I'm going to chew the Orkin guy up one side and down the other (within reason). I'm suspicious that they sprayed for the wrong kind of termite. I just find it odd that nothing has happened until today.

Well, I'm only on page 32, so I'm going to attempt to escape from thsi hell for now, and enjoy a really good book.
