Okay, as promised, here's what happened last night at the last Silver Marches session.
The session started in Auvendell, which is on the eastern end of Silverymoon Pass. They were three days away from Loch-Durnan. They left, and headed towards the campaign's final destination. As they traveled toward Loch-Durnan, the sky became blacker and blacker. They ran into a trio of Spawns of Kyuss, but Thomas turned them quickly, while everyone else destroyed them.
The night before they arrived in Loch-Durnan, they were attacked in their camp by 8 lemures and an osyluth. I know it wasn't a challenge. I was primarily trying to emphasize the prevalence of devils in the area. There was no wildlife running around. The sky was black. Once they got within a day of Loch-Durnan, the trees of the forest were dead. In all, it was a severely bad situation.
They had to fight their way through an orc party to get to the gates of the town. One of the orcs had been corrupted by the touch of devils, and was considerably more powerful than they were expecting. This was the last major challenge the players faced that night.
Once inside the town, they were healed, and managed to learn how to get rid of the "Vile" damage that the Corrupted Orc* gave the party. They learned that Ian McCallister was going after something in the Pit. It didn't take them long to figure out that he was after Warphit, the devil trapped in a crystal from the first adventure. They remembered that the manor house had a back way into the dungeon. This is, of course, because they used that route to get out of the Pit the first time.
Going down into the tunnels, they passed the place where they discovered their magical items the first time. While in there, they were attacked by two more osyluths. Sadly, the osyluths were murdered in no time flat. It's sad, really. One was down before anyone but Darvin could get inside. When they defeated the devils, their weapons began to morph, each changing slightly, and gaining a few new powers.
They delved into the tunnels, and got into a room. It was locked, so Lorcan used a scroll of Knock on the door. Which worked. It opened, but the trap got sprung. Everyone felt lighter for a few seconds, until the room finished it's plummet to the bottom of the shaft. Then, they tried to be careful in opening the door that was there, but Strieson failed his Search check for traps, so they all got electrocuted.
Flinching away the impact, they stepped into a hallway. Darvin walked into the room behind Strieson, and that's where they ran into Ian. He was finishing an incantation to open a permanent portal to the Nine Hells.
I'll post the last part later tonight. I've got to go. >.<;;
