Well, I've decided, once and for all, to end the Silver Marches campaign. No, I'm not ending it tomorrow. I am, however, planning on it ending around the end of June or the beginning of July. This is inevitable, and unavoidable. The game's just not doing "it" for me anymore. Don't get me wrong; I'm enjoying myself. The hitch comes in with a few details:( Breakdown of my problems with the current campaign. ) I've decided that I'm going to pass out a questionnaire sometime in late May/early June, in an attempt to get a feel for what people are looking for. This quiz is mammoth, and detailed. That is intentional, so that I know EXACTLY what I'm dealing with up front.
Another thing to know is that I'm likely to institute a hardline method of dealing with character swapping during the campaign. ( Click for details on how I'm going to deal with it. )
I'm going to get feedback about the setting I'm going to run, but I'm almost certainly going to run Midnight, since I am looking for a setting that is low-magic. It's technically rare-magic, in that magic's not hard, just uncommon. Try casting heal spells when you have to worry about being caught by the evil god's minions. Or try wearing armor openly, and showing off your sword. Those are also illegal. No, it's not as hard as it may seem at first glance. It's a chance for everyone to really make their characters shine.
