First, last week's session (if it could be called that) ended abruptly due to lack of planning on my part. (Things weren't working out the way I meant. I had to regroup.) As of this week, last session didn't even occur. (I don't even think I posted about it.)
Silver Marches, Session 14 (01/18/03)
Our session began with a recap of the last "real" session,
in which the Wizards Three saved the Dynamic Duo from certain death. The date was 23 Uktar, 1372. It was 6am, and they had just gotten back to Silverymoon after finding and rescuing Myst and Darvin. Some clerics from the Halls of Inspiration took them off their hands, and began to treat them for exposure. What do you think the Wizards Three did? Yeah, up for 24 hours, and they
wanted to go to school.
1I let them. They walked in, still wearing their adventuring gear, and (in Lorcan's case) still wearing the blood of their enemies. Jerlann, their morning teacher, sent them home to bathe and get some rest. He had to bribe them with their homework to get them to leave.
2 Titus pulled his usual "I know it all' schtick, and threw his homework away. Lorcan and Nym took it. They refused to give it back, and left. Titus had to ask his least favorite teacher for another copy of his homework. *snicker*
They went back to their dormitory, and found out that
Thomas Daenar, cleric of Oghma, had moved into the Halls of Inspiration
3 in an effort to expedite the load of work he had been assigned. (The player had been absent, so I had to do something with him.)
Well, they settled into their baths, reading Titus' homework, and each cracking jokes about not being able to read their prohibited schools. (Lorcan cannot access Enchantment, and Nym cannot access Conjuration.)
At this point, knowing how a tired person is in the bath, I called for FORT saves since they had been up for better than 24 hours. Lorcan fell asleep. Titus, being the ass he is, decided to cast
Ray of Frost on Lorcan's tub. Lorcan woke up, but settled back down. Cold water, after all, isn't as cold as the undead, and Lorcan knows undead. (He's a necromancer, you twits!) Titus roared with laughter, and when Nym's attention was diverted, cast
Ray of Frost on Nym's tub. Titus leaned back, and put a washcloth over his face.
Nym got out of his tub, put on a robe, got his sword, and held it at Titus' throat. Not satisfied with this threat, Nym tried using his bow.
Still not happy, Nym got a bucket, and scooped up some of the muddy slush outside of the dormitory and deposited it in Titus' tub, on Titus. Well, Titus didn't care for that, and was all set to continue the fight, except that Lorcan commented, "Don't waste all your spells on practical jokes. Waste
most of your spells." Heh. :)
They all eventually wound up asleep. Around late afternoon/early evening, the three wizards awoke, and went to get dinner at the Swordsfall House. After a pleasant meal, they all went back to bed, and slept until morning.
(Continued in Part 2, where they meet a city magistrate, learn of a quest, and bed some wenches.)
1 - I didn't think it would become an obsession, sheesh.
2 - Homework was never a bribe for me!! Perhaps I should give them a test. :)
3 - The Halls of Inspiration are a major temple in Silverymoon, dedicated to Oghma and Milil.
