Things have been pretty quiet lately. Work has been okay, and nothing wildly bad or good has been going on. I talked with the manager Thursday, and we basically apologized to each other for having such short fuses and letting it get the best of us. Oh, did I mention that my manager could be my brother with the way we handle our tempers? Heh, yeah. Anyway, things smoothed over, and I went into work on Friday with a more positive outlook. Finished things in a timely manner, and managed to keep the breaks and lunches going.

I found out that Earnestine, our fullt-time guest care clerk who is our Western Union and money order guru, is retiring in a couple of weeks. I knew she was going to retire, but it was originally going to be this summer. Oh well, that's for the best. We can now get someone younger who can handle more. Earnestine couldn't really watch the floor for overrides, and never bagged when it was busy. Now, we can get someone who can. I won't hold it against her, but it'll be nice to have someone who can.

After I returned home from the game, I was up until around 330am going through my comics, filtering out what I want from what I don't. I think I'm going to be taking some bulk comic boxes up to Comic Cellar sometime soon. (After making sure none of my people want anything out of it. - Yes, [livejournal.com profile] jartravian, this means I'm keeping an eye open for Gundam issues. :) )

At any rate, I have rambled long enough.

* - The thing I find most interesting and refreshing about CrossGen Comics is that they do not release superhero books. It's all generally fantasy or sci-fi themed. And they look good, as in they're pretty. I have to do more investigation.
