His Dark Materials...

I just finished The Amber Spyglass, and I loved it. That trilogy of books is one of my favorites of all time. There are layers upon layers of themes to think about. On the surface, too, book 3 ends in such a way that I feel the same as I do when I finish reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman. I got so into the novel that I felt the love, and when I came to the end, I felt that part of me was left in either world.

Now, I have to get some sleep, or I'll regret it.
