Hooray for two days off!
I was off Wednesday, and I'm off today, too. I really am beginning to feel recharged, which is dang cool.
On Tuesday, when I got home, my roommate was gone out of town for a day to KY, to get his grandmother. I took full advantage of having complete solitude, and did laundry until around 130am. Meanwhile, I downloaded some Weird Al from my buddy Kevin (Straight Outta Lynwood has really improved my already-good-but-not-quite-great opinion of Weird Al), and played a little World of Warcraft. I finally crawled into bed around 3am.
On Wednesday, I was up at 8am for no good reason, but I didn't go back to bed. I did some more laundry, and cleaned the living room and kitchen. My enthusiasm for cleaning wore off before I got to the bathroom, but I did make sure it was okay anyway. I jammed music in the apartment on my iPod and using some cheap desktop speakers I got for just such a purpose, and it was good. By the time I settled in for a long stint of WoW-playing, my roommate got home. I regret that I didn't do much else yesterday, but I did finish Memory of Fire by Holly Lisle, which is a fantastic, original fantasy novel.
Set more in the modern day, and using a completely original fantasy world, it ensnared my attention so completely that I burned through it on Tuesday and Wednesday, while doing other stuff. The characters are unique, and the emotions leap off the page. I was very impressed, given that I'd read nothing else by this author before. (It was one of those books I grabbed at the store thinking, "Hmm, an author I've never heard of. Let's see what she's like." I'm glad I did.)
Today..
Well, I don't really plan on anything particularly noteworthy today. I don't count WoW as noteworthy, since I do that all the time. I am just going to take things as they come, and see how it works out. I do know I don't plan on going anywhere, so my plans might work out alright anyway. :-p
Enough from me, I have auctions to check!
